Laboratory of Molecular Biology
The Molecular Biology Laboratory is affiliated with the State Key Laboratory Cultivation Base, Shandong Province Key Laboratory of Ophthalmology. Our research area focuses on the cellular and molecular mechanism of diabetic keratopathy and other eye complications. The research is summarized as follows: 1) the pathogenesis of diabetes and ocular complications by means of multi-omics sequencing; 2) establishment of ophthalmology database; 3) regulatory mechanisms of corneal epithelial homeostasis. Our lab currently has two assistant professors, three technicians, and a postdoctoral fellow. We are equipped with Droplet Digital PCR system, ProteinSimple WES, QIAGEN Rotor-Gene, ABI-7500 QPCR system and other advanced instruments. In terms of academic performance, 1) three national/provincial projects were hosted, 2) lab members attend international and domestic academic conference regularly; 3) up to now, nearly 10 academic articles have been published.
