The Asia Cornea Society Biennial Scientific Meeting is the largest and the most authoritative meeting in keratopathy in Asia and one of the most influential events in this field in the world. The opening of the 6th Asia Cornea Society Biennial Scientific Meeting was held on May 16th-20th, 2018 in Qingdao, China. More than 1,500 well-known experts in corneal diseases around the world were invited to the meeting and leading scholars in keratopathy gathered here for academic exchanges, sharing the latest research outcomes and achievements.

The meeting was organised by the Asia Cornea Society, the National Committee of Keratology, China Centre for International Science and Technology Exchange, and co organized by Shandong Eye Institute (Qingdao Eye Hospital) and Shandong Eye hospital.

Academician Xie Lixin, the honorary president of the Asia Cornea Society Biennial Scientific Meeting, made a 30 minute special report "My 50 Years' Work for the Prevention and Treatment of Corneal Diseases", reviewed his unremitting efforts in the prevention and treatment of corneal diseases over the past 50 years.

Academician Xie Lixin won the Academic Achievement Award of Asia Cornea Foundation.
